Mascalzone Latino Audi Team in the last official race of 2010: the Oracle RC44 Cup Miami

Last week of competitive racing in 2010 for Mascalzone Latino Audi Team, that starting tomorrow will be once again on the water to take part in the ORACLE RC44 Cup Miami, the first ever time the famous one-design class conceived by Russell Coutts races in the USA.

Mascalzone Latino’s RC44 crew consists of Vincenzo Onorato, in his usual role of owner/helmsman, who will be flanked by Francesco Bruni on tactics, Andrea Ballico and Matteo Savelli in the afterguard, Paul" Flipper" Westlake as mainsail trimmer, Simone de Mari in the mast, Luca Faravelli grinding and Davide Scarpa at the bow.

Racing in the warm and sunny Florida city is scheduled to start with the match race portion on December 7 and 8, for a total of 13 flights, followed by a practice day and three final days of fleet racing from the 10th until the 12th, with a total of 12 races."it’s a great satisfaction to race once again in this class -comments Vincenzo Onorato – to face a highly-qualified fleet as this one, that gets bigger, more selected and competitive each time. I foresee a fierce battle without excluding upsets from the first day."
