New Louis Vuitton Cup announced in Dubai

Today was a very, very important day for the America’s Cup community.

A few hours after the conclusion of the Louis Vuitton Trophy Dubai, won by Emirates Team New Zealand with two races to nil against the Americans of BMW ORACLE Racing, during a press conference held at the Dubai International Marine Club, Yves Carcelle, President and CEO of the French luxury house Louis Vuitton, Pietro Beccari, Vice President of Louis Vuitton, Richard Worth, Chairman of the America's Cup Event Authority and Russell Coutts, CEO of BMW ORACLE Racing, announced the new partnership that will bring together, during the next three years, the prestigious French group and the America’s Cup community.

Since 1983 and until today, Louis Vuitton was there in all seven editions of the America’s Cup where there was more than one Challenger.

In addition, Louis Vuitton will be the Official Timekeeper for the America’s Cup World Series competitions, during the next three years.
