JAMIE GALE

JAMIE GALE - PITMAN
Jamie was born in Auckland 38 years ago and now lives in Falmouth, USA, with his family. He has collected many wins in Ocean racing, among which the VOR victory in 2002 on Illbruck, the edition where his team set the new record of miles covered in 24 hours. Gale competed twice in the Olympics; in 1996 in the Soling class  and in 2000 in the Star class. He was a part of the victorious Team New Zealand crew in 1992 and 1995, when the Kiwis took the Cup to Auckland. In 2000 Jamie raced with Young America and that same year he won the IMS 50’ World Championship. He was nominated Yachtsman of the Year in New Zealand in 1995.
