Thierry Fouchier, 40 years old, from Marseille, is Italian from his mother’s side. He comes onboard Mascalzone Latino Audi Team directly from the USA 17 trimaran, winner of the 33rd America’s Cup. He’s one of the foremost experts in big multihulls, with an impressive resume of victories onboard Groupama 60. Still, in his sailing career there are numerous match races and two America’s Cup campaigns onboard ACC’s, the latest one with Sweden’s Victory Challenge. He joins Mascalzone Latino in the position of spinnaker trimmer.
